The platform was created to start holding providers accountable for the mistreatment of birthing people, especially but not limited to Black and Indigenous people, in healthcare settings. On our review platform, you can read birth stories to learn from others’ experiences and share your own story after your birth. These reviews can help you learn about the different styles of care providers and how others experienced their care, informing your decision about which provider is best for you.

The BirthX mobile application is a pregnancy and postpartum app that helps pregnant people prepare for childbirth and postpartum. This application features a fun and intuitive interface for tracking pregnancy and postpartum sensations and preparing for childbirth, breastfeeding, and postpartum. It also includes a kick counter, a contraction timer, and a notes area to store questions or information for your maternal healthcare provider. With all your notes in one place, prenatal appointments will feel smoother, and with the app’s educational resources, you will feel empowered and prepared for what’s to come.

Please keep in mind that your experience will be different from that of the final and public versions of the product, app, and firmware as we smooth out all the bits and pieces. We try to get all the bugs out of our updates before we roll out a beta version, but no one is perfect, and that’s where you come in! The information that comes from our beta testers is integral to our product development process.
